Pay per Click

Your search engine ranking determines a major slice of your site traffic. But there are two ways to draw high traffic to a website: one way is to use Search Engine Optimisation and second, PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising, such as Google Adwords. PPC (with well written ads) will instantly drive targeted traffic to you. The only drawback is that it will cost money (as much as you are willing to pay). There are, however, some techniques to drive more clicks for less money. The alternative, which is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), requires more work and patience.
That’s why PPC advertising is now the fastest growing marketing tool. Actually, any site owner starting a SEO/SEM campaign can receive targeted traffic using proper keywords directly relevant to site’s content.
Many companies offer pay per click system as one of their services but Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture), are the largest network operators as of 2006. They act in a dual role, since they are also publishers themselves (on their search engines).
